Introduction

Motherland Development Nepal (MLDN) is an autonomous, non-profit making, non-racial and non-political, Non Governmental Organization established by the grassroots people (women) in 2067 B.S. It is committed in enhancement of social, educational and economic conditions of women, children and deprived section of the community. It plans to run multidisciplinary programs related to health and education with a strong focus on women and children.

Building strong commitment of the society against violence, and discrimination of women, Madheshi, Dalit and other backward community to foster the social growth and instilling the culture of harmony in the mind of Nepalese citizens is the main motto of this organization.

Vision

Transforming the present society to well aware, harmonious and equally able individuals who are responsible to generate equality based society in among the diversified thoughts and ethics regardless of gender, caste, origin and religion.

Mission

We advocate for man-women equality and keep our focus on actions to uplift Madheshi, Dalit and other backward community. Emphasis will be given to equal participation in each and every Planning steps for the co-development.

Working Approach with the community

Participation:

Equitable community participation (Dalit, women, Janajatis) from the very beginning of the need identification, planning to achievement level.

Partnership:

Partnership with the stakeholders and line agencies to generate synergetic impact at the local level at the time of program implementation.

Working through CBOs:

The project activities will be implemented with existing or newly formed CBOs like club, cooperatives.

Social Inclusion:

The socially, economically disadvantaged communities, women, children, dalit, Janajatis will be ensured in all levels of program implementation.

 Right based approach:

Right based approach will be the foundation of program implementation to ensure the basic needs of human being.
